No critiques, please. I know perfectly well I'm no good at scaling, but I'm trying to tell myself that I won't get better at anything unless I force myself to do it until I can do it right.
So unless you're good at what I've screwed up on and plan to give me constructive and helpful information or tips on how to do it better next time, save it.
That aside, until I learn how to suck less at this, I'll be sticking to the simplified version. Which I'm fine with.
I'll post some useful info on the race once I have something up that I can call "complete".
The scaled one at the top looks AMAZING. *o* Somehow I'm reminded of a pangolin. |D Scales are paaainful to draw, and I think you did a pretty fine job at them, personally~ Way better than I can, that's for sure!
They both look amazing. (I can't draw scales that cool to save my life. :'D )

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
